Clock in and out

Record a shift with Clock. The clock-out photo stamps your clock-in time, clock-out time, break time, and work time onto the image.

Use Clock to record a work shift on site. What sets it apart from a regular timestamped photo: when you clock out, Timemark stamps your clock-in time, clock-out time, break time, and work time onto the photo itself. Work time already has your breaks subtracted, so the hours worked live on the image, not just in a record. Clock is the Attendance Mode in the Timemark App.

On the camera screen, tap Clock at the bottom.

  1. Tap Clock In and take a photo to start your shift. The photo is stamped Clock In.
  2. To record a break, tap Start Break, then tap End Break when you’re back. Repeat for each break.
  3. Tap Clock Out and take a photo to end your shift. This photo shows your clock-in time, clock-out time, break time, and work time.
  4. Review the summary, then tap Save.
FieldWhat it shows
Clock-in timeWhen you started the shift.
Clock-out timeWhen you ended the shift.
Break timeTotal break time logged during the shift.
Work timeTime from clock-in to clock-out, with break time subtracted.

The clock-in photo carries only the Clock In stamp. The full breakdown appears on the clock-out photo.

To change which fields appear on the Clock watermark:

  1. Tap Edit at the bottom-right of the viewfinder, or tap the watermark in the viewfinder.
  2. Toggle fields on or off: Logo, Map, Time, Address, Name, Company, Notes.
  3. Tap Done.
  • Tap My Timesheet in Clock to see your records by photo, date, and work time. Tap Share to send them, Excel to export, or Delete to remove a record. This works without a team.
  • To track a whole crew, create or join a Teamspace. Clock records then appear in Teamspace → Activity → Time clock, where you can see your own and the entire team’s attendance.
  • Clock records don’t attach to a project. Activity shows attendance for the whole team in one place. To track a member’s hours on a specific project, use a Checklist linked to that project instead.

If you clocked in or out by mistake, remove the record from Teamspace:

  1. Open Teamspace → Activity → Time clock.
  2. Find the most recent record under your name and tap its photo.
  3. Tap Delete.
  4. Choose whether to delete only the photo or the entire record.

Solo users without a team: open My Timesheet in Clock and tap Delete on the record.

  • Work time is calculated automatically as clock-out minus clock-in minus breaks. You can’t edit it by hand.
  • The capture time and location are set automatically and can’t be edited.
  • Only the last 45 days of records are kept on your device. Export anything you need to keep.
