Invite a team member

Send a per-email invite or share a link, and pick the starting role.

You want to add a new person to your team. Choose email for invites scoped to a specific address, or link for ad-hoc sharing in chat.

On a paid plan, each added member is a billable seat

The roles you can assign depend on your own role. A Team Owner can assign Admin, Member, or any custom role. A Team Admin can assign Member or a custom role, but not Owner or Admin.

  1. Click Add Member in the top-right of any Teamspace page.
  2. The Invite by Email tab is selected by default.
  3. Type one or more email addresses in the E-mail field (up to 100 per send). Separate multiple addresses with a space, not a comma.
  4. Under Invite as, choose the starting role. If only one role is available to you, the row is locked to it. To set up a custom role first, see Customize a member role.
  5. Click Send. The button shows the count of invites that will be sent, for example Send (3).

Recipients get an email with a link that opens the Timemark App.

  1. Click Add Member, then switch to Invite via Link.
  2. Pick the Invite as role.
  3. Click Copy link. The URL is in the format https://teamspace.timemark.com/mobile/invite?uuid=….
  4. Share the link in your team’s chat tool.

Invite asThe starting role assigned on accept. Choose Admin, Member, or a custom role, filtered by your own role. You can’t invite someone as Owner, and a role row with only one option is locked.
  • The link is anonymous-eligible. Anyone with the URL can join with the role you picked, so don’t post it in public channels.
  • Commas don’t work as separators. The field expects whitespace-separated addresses, and a single send is capped at 100 of them.
  • Adding a member is never blocked by your seat count. The “Up to N members” line on your plan is the number of seats paid for, not an invite cap. Inviting past it always works.
  • Going past your paid seats starts an overage. Monthly plans just prorate the new member automatically. On yearly and Pay 1 year plans, the Owner sees an “extra members” notice on Plan & Billing (Web) or Upgrade & manage (App): pay the difference with Pay now, or free up seats with Manage members. If neither happens before the deadline in the notice, the team is restricted and photos can blur. See Billing cycle and invoices and Some team photos are blurred.
  • Inviting someone who already uses Timemark as a solo user adds the team to their existing account. Their personal photos stay private to them.
