Photos not syncing from app to Teamspace
What to check when photos taken on the App don't appear in Teamspace.
If photos taken on the App aren’t appearing in Teamspace, work through these checks in order. Most cases resolve at one of the first three.
1. Confirm the App is signed in to a team
Section titled “1. Confirm the App is signed in to a team”- Open the App → Profile tab → look for “Joined team: <team name>”.
- If it says “Not in a team”, photos are saved locally only and will not sync. The App is usable standalone. Syncing requires a team.
2. Check device connectivity
Section titled “2. Check device connectivity”- Sync requires an Internet connection. The App does not sync over USB or local Wi-Fi only.
- The App queues photos taken offline and uploads them when the device comes back online. Verify by going to App → Sync and looking for a “Pending upload” counter.
3. Verify the photo was saved within the App
Section titled “3. Verify the photo was saved within the App”- Photos taken via the iOS / Android system camera and imported afterward do not sync automatically. Only photos captured inside the Timemark App apply the Photo Template and queue for sync.
- Check App → My Photos. Is the photo there?
- If yes → continue to step 4.
- If no → the photo is in your system camera roll only. Either re-take it from inside the App, or import via App → Capture → Import from album (free, but imported photos count toward your Teamspace total photo quota).
4. Force a manual sync
Section titled “4. Force a manual sync”- App → Sync tab → tap Sync now.
- Watch for error toasts. Common ones and fixes:
| Error | Meaning | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| ”Storage full” | Team’s plan storage exhausted | Owner upgrades Plan or deletes old photos |
| ”Permission denied” | You were removed from the team | Ask Owner to re-invite |
| ”Network error” | Transient | Try again on stable connection |
5. Check from Teamspace side
Section titled “5. Check from Teamspace side”- In Teamspace, go to By Member and find your name.
- Filter by Date to the day you took the photo.
- If your row shows “0 photos” but you have photos on the App → sync is failing. Contact support with your App version + sample photo timestamp.
Common root causes
Section titled “Common root causes”- App version too old (< 8.2). Update from the App Store or Play Store.
- Member was removed from team mid-shift. The Owner needs to re-invite.
- Photo Template was deleted by Owner while you were taking photos using it. Photos still save locally, but sync rejects them until you switch template.
If none of the above works
Section titled “If none of the above works”Open a support ticket including:
- App version (Profile → About)
- Device model and OS version
- Exact timestamp of one missing photo (down to the second)
- Your team’s name and your email
