Export a checklist submission as PDF

Turn one submitted checklist into a PDF report you can save or send from the App.

A member has finished a checklist on site and you need a clean report of that one job. You might send it to a client or a manager, or keep it for your own records.

Right after you submit a checklist, the success sheet already has an Export PDF button. Tap it and skip to step 4.

For a submission from earlier:

  1. In Teamspace, open the project, then the Checklists tab.
  2. Tap the checklist, then tap the submission in Activity.
  3. Tap Export PDF at the bottom, next to Share.
  4. Wait while the Preview shows Generating PDF….
  5. Tap Save to keep the file on your phone, or Share to send it.

The file is named after the member, the date, and the checklist, for example James Bound-May 8 2026-OSHA Check.pdf.

  • Export PDF stays greyed out until the submission is finished. In-progress checklists show “Available after submitting”. So do submissions made offline that haven’t uploaded yet. Once the upload finishes, export from the submission.
  • “Failed to generate PDF” means the file couldn’t be built or downloaded. Check your connection and tap Retry.
  • Leaving the preview stops the export. Opening it again starts over, so stay on the page until the file is ready.
  • Deleted photos are left out of the PDF.
  • This is App only. Submission details on the web have no PDF button. On the web, export submissions to Excel instead. See View checklist submissions.
  • This is not the photo PDF. To build a PDF from project photos, see Export photos as PDF.
