Use a Checklist

Follow a step-by-step Checklist to capture the required photos and details on a job.


A Checklist gives your team a repeatable, step-by-step capture workflow so no required photo or detail is missed on a job. A Team Owner, Team Admin builds the template once. Members then follow it on site, filling in each step.

A Checklist requires a Teamspace. You can’t publish or submit one without joining or creating a team.

Only a Team Owner or Team Admin can create or edit templates.

  1. On the camera screen, tap the Checklist tab at the bottom.
  2. Tap Create a checklist.
  3. Pick a preset template, or tap + Create from scratch.
  4. Enter a Name for the Checklist.
  5. Tap + Add Step, then choose a step type (see the table below).
  6. Turn on Required for any step that must be completed.
  7. Tap Publish to share it with your team.
Step typeWhat the member enters
PhotoA photo or video. The step name shows at the top of the camera.

  1. Tap the Checklist tab at the bottom of the camera screen.
  2. The latest Checklist opens. Tap the switcher to choose a different one.
  3. Tap each step and fill it in. You can do the steps in any order.
  4. (Optional) Tap For project to link this submission to a project.
  5. When every required step is done, tap Submit.

After you submit, you return to a blank copy of the same Checklist so you can start the next one.

If you’ve joined a Teamspace, submissions appear in Teamspace → Activity. For a submission linked to a project, it also shows under that project’s Checklists tab.

  • A Checklist requires a Teamspace. Solo users without a team can’t publish or submit one.
  • Only Team Owners and Admins can create or edit templates. Members can only complete and submit.
  • Submitted records are locked. You can’t edit the text, numbers, or choices after submitting.
  • Required steps are marked with *. Submit stays disabled until they’re all done. Non-required steps can be skipped.
