Turn the shutter sound on or off
Enable an audible shutter click or capture photos silently.
When you’d do this
Section titled “When you’d do this”Silence the shutter when you’re shooting somewhere quiet, such as a meeting, a library, or a site where you don’t want to disturb people. Turn it back on when you want an audible click to confirm each capture.

- Tap Settings on the camera screen.
- Toggle Shutter Sound on for an audible click, or off to capture silently.

Common pitfalls
Section titled “Common pitfalls”- In some regions the operating system enforces a mandatory shutter sound that this setting can’t silence.
- This controls the photo shutter only. System volume and ringer settings are separate.
