Show camera gridlines
Turn on a composition grid overlay in the camera viewfinder.
When you’d do this
Section titled “When you’d do this”The grid helps you level horizons, keep verticals straight, and place subjects along the rule-of-thirds lines.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Surface
- App
- Plan
- Free · Plus · Business
- Tap Settings on the camera screen.
- Toggle Grid Lines on.
The grid appears over the viewfinder immediately. Toggle it off to hide it again.
Common pitfalls
Section titled “Common pitfalls”- The grid is a viewfinder guide only. It is not stamped onto the saved photo.
- Gridlines do not change your aspect ratio. Change that with the Ratio option (see Take a photo).
