Project docs
Upload, preview, rename, and delete files on a project's Docs tab.
When you’d do this
Section titled “When you’d do this”A project has a permit, drawing, spec sheet, or report that belongs with its photos. Keep those files on the project’s Docs tab so every member with project access can open them next to the captures.

Limits and file types
Section titled “Limits and file types”| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Supported types | PDF, TXT, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, CSV, PPT, PPTX, KML, KMZ |
| Opens in-app | PDF only (other types open in a system app) |
| Files per project | 50 maximum |
| File size | 100 MB per file |
Common pitfalls
Section titled “Common pitfalls”- 50 files per project is a hard ceiling. If you select more files than the remaining slots, only the first files that fit upload and the rest are dropped. Delete old files or use another project.
- Files over 100 MB are blocked before the upload starts. Compress or split the file first.
- Duplicate file names are rejected. Rename the file on your device, or rename the existing one in the list first.
- You can’t change a file extension when renaming. You rename only the part in front of it.
- Deletion is team-wide. Every member with project access loses the file. It isn’t a personal hide. Deleting also frees a slot toward the 50-file limit.
