Create a team Photo Template
Add a team Photo Template, choose its fields, and set what members can edit.
When you’d do this
Section titled “When you’d do this”You want every member’s photos to carry the same watermark: same fields, same default values, same logo. Build a Team Photo Template in Teamspace, then lock members to it so no one falls back to a personal or built-in template.
You can keep more than one team template (for example one per job type) and members pick from the set. The same editor handles first creation and later edits.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Role

- All team members on App version > 10.0.115
- In the left sidebar, expand Team Templates and click Photo Templates.
- Click + Add Template. To edit an existing one instead, click the pencil icon in its row.
- In Select Template, pick a starting point, Default watermark or Custom watermark, then click Continue.
- Click the template name at the top and rename it to something members recognize, such as
Site checkorPre-install. - Toggle the fields you want on in the left field list. Configure each one in the middle pane (formats, default values, logo, map style).
- For each field, set Member Permissions: leave it editable so members can change the value, or mark it read-only so they see it but can’t edit.
- To add a free-form field, click + Add Custom Note at the bottom of the list (for example
PID #orJob code). - Watch the live Preview on the right, then click Save.
- If team templates aren’t enabled yet, an Enable prompt appears. Click Enable to turn them on for the team now, or Not Now to enable later.
Configuring fields
Section titled “Configuring fields”The fields and per-field options work the same as a personal template, so the mechanics aren’t repeated here. See Edit a template for what each field stamps and how to set logo, time, map, and coordinate options.
What’s specific to a team template:
| Behavior | Detail |
|---|---|
| Time and Address | Always on. You can’t turn them off, and members can’t change the captured values. |
| Member Permissions | Per field, choose editable or read-only. Option fields can also allow members to type their own value. |
| Default values | A value you set here is pre-filled on every member’s photo. Leave blank for members to fill in. |
| Logo | Uploaded inside the editor and shared by the whole team. |
| Limits | Up to 20 custom fields per template, and up to 200 options in an Option field. |
The AI Setup Assistant on the right of the editor can suggest a field set from a plain-language prompt (for example “construction site watermark”) and find a company logo. Its suggestions only apply after you click Apply.
Common pitfalls
Section titled “Common pitfalls”- Team templates can only be created and edited in Teamspace on the web. The App shows and applies them but can’t edit them.
- Edits don’t change existing photos. Photos already taken keep the watermark they had at capture.
- Only one admin can edit a template at a time. If someone else has it open, you’ll see a notice with their name. Try again once they’re done.
- A logo lives inside each template. If your branding changes, update every template that has Logo enabled.
- Members on App version 10.0.115 or earlier don’t get team templates and keep using their personal watermark until they update.
